Cummins will sell the sensor but they don t have wiring diagrams available. The swaphelper is an electronic signal conditioning device. Model 8912 is a dual output four wire magnetic sensor. Calibration and adjustment the tachometer is factory calibrated to 3 full scale accuracy.

You have to keep the cam sensor and the crank sensor wires seperated until you get to the sensor then wire them together if you run them together they will pick up signals from each other and cause problems the shielding on the wires is crap i think you can wrap one in aluminum foil but that is a pain and doesn t look very good. The tachometer is intermittent random. Provision has been made for finer adjustment if. I am replacing the tach because it will intermittently stop working.
